Refrigerated truck rental: If you distribute or store fish, meat, flowers, vegetables or other perishable or temperature-sensitive items, renting a refrigerated (or temperature-controlled) truck will allow you to move your goods without damaging them. Our Bleu Pelican refrigerated trucks are equipped with thermal isolation and superior quality refrigeration/freezer units that maintain a temperature between +20°C and-20°C, according to your needs. These trucks allow you to temporarily store or transport large quantities of goods over long distances and arrive in perfect condition.
What’s special about Bleu Pelican refrigerated trucks are the side doors in addition to the back sliding doors, allowing you to quickly access the goods and lock the doors for safety. All our trucks are equipped with small stairs found at the back of the truck to facilitate the delivery of your goods in an urban environment where parking is tight.
Bleu Pelican wants simplify your life by giving you the option to use vehicles adapted to your needs, without worrying about getting a special driving permit. In 2007, the company acquired new, specially manufactured city refrigerated trucks as a response to client requests. This is why three types of our refrigerated trucks only require a valid permit for simple vehicles. At the same time, Bleu Pelican complies with the norms and maximum feet allowance of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec for its trucks.
Renting 12-feet refrigerated truck requires a class 5 driving permit, which loads up to 909 kg. (2,000 lbs.)
A 14-feet refrigerated truck requires a driving permit and has a superior load capacity of 1,818 kg (4000 lbs.)
No special permit is required for the 16-feet refrigerated truck, with a maximum load capacity of 3,182 kg (7,000 lbs.).
A Class 3 driving permit is required in order to rent the 24 and 26-feet refrigerated trucks. The difference between these 2 trucks is their load capacity, respectively 7,273 kg (16,000 lbs.) and 14,545 kg (32,000 lbs.) These trucks are equipped with ramps to facilitate access to the refrigerated box.
